Description

The artefact, dating back to the early medieval period before the year 1000, is attributed to a Lombard defence system located on the right bank of the Chiascio to control the bridge over the Via Maestra.

It consists of a circle with a diameter of 16 metres with mixed pebble and brick masonry, probably reused as a cemetery area given the presence of some Capuchin tombs excavated inside it.
