A room inside the castle houses an exhibition of documents, photos and tools from the oldest tradition of porchetta, documenting the activities of five porchetta makers in the village of Costano, four of whom work for the local market including Bastia and Perugia and one for its export to other regions. The porchetta of Costano is unanimously recognised as the best in Umbria.
Extremely flattering certificates are also constantly received from tourists and foreigners who, passing through our area, have the good fortune to get to know the tasty meat of the roast sucking pig. (E. Vetturini)
